Art therapy
Reignite Your Creativity
Rediscover Your Authentic Self
what is art therapy?
Art therapy involves engaging in various forms of art-making, such as drawing, painting, sculpting, or collage. The focus is not on the artistic outcome but on the process of creating art as a way to express thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Often, people find it difficult to express complex emotions or trauma through words. Art therapy provides an alternative way to communicate those feelings and experiences without needing to verbalize them directly. An Art Therapist is trained to interpret the symbols, colors, and forms used in a client’s artwork. They help clients explore the meaning behind their creations and how these relate to their life experiences, thoughts, and feelings.
Art therapy can help clients access and express thoughts and emotions that are buried deep in the subconscious, making it particularly useful for those dealing with trauma, grief, or deep-seated emotional issues. Creating art provides a safe and contained way for clients to express emotions that might be too overwhelming or difficult to talk about.
