Absolutely! There is no pressure or need to be a great artist here, so if you 'don't like making art' because you think you're 'not good', we can work through that. This is about the process, not the final product at the Creative Counseling Collective.
Yes, telehealth is a great option for many clients throughout Texas! Art Therapy is feasible virtually, too.
I don't accept insurance because I don't believe in putting a label on you that will follow you permanently throughout your life. Insurance requires a diagnosis in the first 50 minutes of meeting you. They also can read your private session notes at any time, deem you ineligible for treatment or only cover a certain number of sessions, and depending on the diagnosis you could lose qualification for certain policies in the future. The Creative Counseling Collective is a cash pay practice that believes in the "informed" part of "Informed Consent". Many people aren't aware of the downfalls to using insurance. Remember, you are in authority over your health journey!
Counseling with me is unlike your typical 'talk therapy' experience. Here at the Creative Counseling Collective, we view you as a whole being, mind-body-spirit. Your emotional, mental and physical needs are all evaluated and taken into consideration in treatment planning as we don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Counseling doesn't have to be intimidating or overwhelming! I will empower and encourage you throughout your healing journey to process difficult situations, become more self-aware, and help you grow your self-worth along the way.
